TMM #009: 💥 How I manifested a car accident

Have you ever seen the future?

Or maybe you just had a feeling something bad was going to happen.

Perhaps you’ve heard that voice inside your head SCREAMING in an effort to get your attention.

Well this week’s issue of The Manifestor’s Manifesto is a day late because I did something I knew I shouldn’t have despite hearing those internal alarm bells go off. You’ll want to read this issue all the way through because I’m going to share the very important lesson I learned from manifesting a car accident.

(No, it’s not about listening to your gut)

Here’s the scene…

It’s about 2:15 yesterday afternoon and I roll into the gym parking lot, jamming out to Kanye West’s Graduation album. And because I watched The Secret, you know I’m about to get a parking spot up front.

Sure enough, there’s a spot right next to the building with my name on it.

As I’m slowly pulling up to the spot, I notice a big black pickup truck in the space next to it.

IMMEDIATELY, the thought pops into my head “I shouldn’t park there because that truck might hit me”

(No, this is not about your thoughts creating your reality. Keep reading.)

Now, there was no reason for me to think that. I’ve parked next to plenty of big trucks before and have never gotten hit. Surely, that’s what parking space lines are meant for.

Even though I didn’t listen to that voice, I still parked all the way to the other side of the parking spot as far as I could (which I never do).

I put my car in park, open the visor mirror to check out my new haircut, and not even 10 seconds later, out of the corner of my eye, I see the truck’s bumper coming towards my passenger side door.


I’ll let you imagine how the rest of the story goes, but let me share the revelation I had at the moment of impact.

You and I have a part of us that is constantly running in the background. It’s working all day, everyday, automatically, without you having to so much as think about it.

Many people refer to this part as the subconscious mind.

Call it whatever you want, but your subconscious mind has one goal in mind - keep you away from pain.

The coolest part? Your subconscious mind is so advanced and so powerful that it does this by sending out a version of you into the FUTURE in order to assess the infinite possibilities of outcomes in any given situation.

That hunch, inner voice, or gut feeling you had? That’s a message from you from the future.

My subconscious mind had already parked in that parking spot before I even pulled up to it.

It then assessed trillions of pieces of data based on the current situation and past experiences I’ve had to predict the most likely result of me parking there. All of it happened without me being consciously aware of it.

In an effort to protect me, it brought a thought to my conscious awareness: “I shouldn’t park there.”

Had I listened to it, I would have never gotten hit.

But what happens when your subconscious mind is wrong and predicts the wrong outcome? What happens when the anxious thoughts and nervous feelings are unwarranted?

Sometimes your subconscious mind is like an overprotective bodyguard.

I’ll teach you how to retrain it soon, but for now, revel in the fact that you have a part of you working for you and with you 24/7 to protect you.
